Why I’m Running

I’m a Brevard native, husband, and father of two. I believe it’s time for younger conservative leaders to step up and help protect the future we will one day leave to our children and grandchildren.

Like most people, I wasn’t planning to run for office. I attended Brevard Public Schools, graduated from Viera High School, and later earned my degree from the University of North Florida. Since then, I’ve focused on building a career, providing for my family, and creating a good life here in the community that raised me.

But becoming a father changed the way I look at the world.

When you have children, you stop thinking only about the next few years and start thinking about the world they will inherit. You begin asking different questions. Will families still be able to afford to live here? Will our communities remain safe? Will parents continue to have a strong voice in their children’s education? Will the values that helped make Brevard such a great place to live still be here for the next generation?

As I paid closer attention to the challenges facing our community and state, I quickly noticed that too many elected officials spend more time worrying about their next election than the next generation. Yet the decisions being made today will shape the opportunities our children have tomorrow.

I believe those of us raising families today have a responsibility to help lead. Not someday. Now.

I am not running because I want to be a politician. I’m running because I care deeply about the community my children will grow up in. I want Florida to remain a place where families can build a life, businesses can thrive, communities are safe, and opportunity is available to anyone willing to work for it.

Brevard gave me the opportunity to build a life, raise a family, and pursue the American Dream. Now I want to do my part to ensure those same opportunities exist for the generations that follow.

That’s why I’m running for the Florida House.
